Iran Air is one of the fast developing airlines in Middle East, and could become one of the best Middle Eastern airlines, connecting the west to far east, via Tehran's Imam Khomeini International Airport. Iran Air is buying almost 200 new huge airplanes, from A320ceo/neo, to A330ceo/neo, Boeing 777, up to A350-1000 and probably A380neo. Tehran IKA Airport can become a popular transfer airport, like Istanbul Ataturk Airport, Dubai International Airport, and Doha International Airport, in the future, as it is the main hub for Iran Air. There are international hotels already made in IKA, named Novotel and Ibis hotel. For the first time since 1979, Iranian airline passengers are to fly on brand new jets built in the West. The first A321 aircraft, of 100 Airbus jets ordered by the flag-carrier, has landed in Tehran following the lifting of international nuclear sanctions. The chairman of Iran Air says their delivery is a “sunny day” for peace and friendship between Iran and Europe. This is a flight report of an IranAir flight that is flying from Stockholm to Tehran. But it's not a usually normal flight for me. I'm flying on one of IranAir's brand new aircrafts that was bought during the Iran-Airbus deal on December 2016. The Aircraft I flew was EP-IJA, and it was an Airbus A330-200. Iran’s third largest airline, Aseman Airlines, signed a contract with the American plane maker Boeing in Tehran on Saturday for the purchase of some 60 Boeing 737-Max passenger jets. The deal is the first contract between an Iranian airliner and the American giant since President Donald Trump took office in January this year. Iran Air Flight 655, an Airbus A300B2-200 was a flight between Tehran and Dubai with a stopover in Bandar Abbas on July 3, 1988 with 290 passengers and crew on board. The Crash: The flight left for Dubai at 10:17am and was directed to turn on its transponder while over the Persian Gulf. The flight was supposed to be only 28 minutes and the aircraft only climbed to about 14,000 feet. While the plane was flying over the sea, a ship known as the USS Vincennes was passing through the Strait of Hormuz after an escort mission.
